The other day I was talking with friends about what they thought of late night television. I have to admit that I don't watch it because it is on too late for my taste. Plus to be honest, because of the  partisanship I won't "DVR"  it because it is a waste of space on the disc. But my friends were adamant that the late night hosts were only giving the people what they want. I laughed at this because it certainly wasn't what I wanted; I just want to be entertained and made to forget about the current day's catastrophes.  Back in the days of Johnny Carson, the standards were much higher; the hosts were actually professional and wanted to attract as many views as possible. Specifically, Johnny knew that in order to pull in the viewers he was (10 million weekly), he needed to attract both sides of the political aisle. Not so much these days. Lately I have found myself going down the YouTube rabbit hole. I find myself attracted to videos that deal with social issues such as Political Correctness and free speech. Being "PC"  can be both good and bad.  It’s good when  “being PC”   means that you don’t use racist, bigoted, homophobic, blah, blah, words in public. Thus offending probably most of the people around you. it becomes a problem when  “being PC”  stifles the expression of a different opinion. This is commonly seen on the college campuses located on the east and west coasts. Many conservatives have been shouted down, intimidated, threatened with outright violence and have their venues blocked so that people could not enter them. All done by students who felt that the opinion of the speaker (which was diametrically different from their own) was going to say things that were opposed to their views, thus offending them. Christina Hoff Sommers, Bret Weinstein, Heather Heying, Peter Boghoss...

Well it's been almost a year since my last post. I thought I would be able to post my thoughts and feelings on a regular basis. I thought wrong. How ironic that I once again post to this blog on two momentous occasions...The first day of the Sacred Triduum and the release of the long awaited Mueller Report. I know I'm excited for Easter, but damn, the Mueller Report is going to take all of the air out of the room as news organizations pour over it. I have a prediction. Fox News will find that the president has been fully exonerated; MSNBC and CNN will find that the president is guilty of collusion and obstruction of justice. Just a guess.
